It is normal for many people to experience problems at some time in their lives and usually, when other areas of their lives are running smoothly they generally have the capacity to deal with them. However, when a number of difficulties occur at any one time, we sometimes feel overwhelmed, vulnerable and unable to cope.

Counselling/Psychotherapy can provide a safe, confidential space which allows you the opportunity to tell your story, be listened too, and find a way forward which is the most helpful for you.

I am an accredited MBACP practitioner, trained in a selection of counselling models. This eclectic approach allows me to use the best method available to suit each client. I am also an accredited EMDR therapist, which is a psychotherapy recommended in the NHS ‘NICE’ guidelines for PTSD. Research has quantified the benefits of this therapy, for those who are serving or have served in the armed forces and emergency services and who have/are experiencing emotional distress caused by the witnessing of traumatic events.

The following areas of treatment are available:

PostTraumatic Stress Disorder
Postnatal Depression
Panic attacks, Stress/Anxiety/Depression
Grief, Separation & Loss
Anger management/Domestic violence
Childhood traumas (emotional/physical/sexual abuse)
Separation or Divorce
