At Longfield Polyclinic we have an experienced GPs that will have time to discuss your health issues and find a pathway forward. As part of the wider team at Longfield Polyclinic, the private GP can refer to a range of therapists, allied health professionals and specialist consultants, ensuring that care is tailored to your needs.

The private GP can see you for:
  • Acute medical problems such as sore throats, headaches, stomach problems
  • Childhood illnesses such as constipation, ear infections, asthma (children aged 3-18) – please do not bring your child into the practice if you think they may be infectious. The reception team will be able to liaise with the GP to arrange a remote consultation
  • Blood tests
  • Basic diagnostics such as peak flow, ECG and blood pressure monitoring
  • Wellbeing checks
  • Occupational health investigations and assessments
  • Referrals to hospital consultants privately
  • Prescriptions
  • Referrals for diagnostics such as MRI, CT and X-ray
The private GP cannot see you for:
  • Family planning
  • Repeat prescriptions and ongoing monitoring of long-term conditions – your NHS GP is best placed to provide this care
  • Minor surgery
  • Covid testing
  • Prescribing controlled drugs
  • Medicals where a full history is required
  • Shot gun licence
  • Emergency services – please go to A&E in an emergency
Fees

£90 for a 20 minute appointment

This fee includes any prescriptions or onward referrals that the GP recommends as well as a comprehensive clinic letter. A copy of this letter will be sent to your NHS GP for continuity of care. This fee does not include any blood tests or diagnostics such as an ECG. If these are recommended, an additional fee will be applicable and the GP will be able to explain the costs of these to you prior to any investigations being carried out.
