Physiotherapy is used in the management of a wide variety of injuries and conditions to help relieve pain and to restore function and mobility.  Our expert physiotherapists use many different treatment techniques including manipulation, mobilisation, massage, exercise programs, electrotherapy (e.g. ultrasound), Shockwave Therapy and acupuncture.

The physiotherapist starts with a detailed review and examination to determine the structures of your body that needs support or further investigation, to reach a clinical diagnosis. They aim to treat the cause of the problem to alleviate the pain, restore normal movement and help your body along its healing pathway.

Our physiotherapists listen to you, review your problems and restrictions, and then plan and discuss with you an appropriate treatment plan. They spend time with you to show you how to help prevent the problem from happening again, and to understand your body’s recovery and strengthening process. You may be taught a little about the mechanism and causes of your problem, so that you can understand the prescribed exercises or lifestyle advice that you may need to consider and help stop a re-occurrence.

Our Chartered Physiotherapists have undergone three years of training culminating in a degree in physiotherapy. They may then have chosen to specialise in certain areas, such as post-graduate qualifications in manipulative or sports physiotherapy biomechanics or acupuncture. Physiotherapists can review work specific or sport specific problems. They can assist in self-assessment of the workstation and do a specialised review and report for the Employer.
