Caroline is a chiropractor. “Chiro” is the Greek word meaning “by hand”. She has been studying chiropractic since 2012 and loves the practice and how it helps the body.
Chiropractic works on the body’s core system—the nervous system—by stimulating or awakening the body’s connection to the area of dysfunction or pain, or both. This is done by working on soft tissues such as muscles and tendons to relieve pressure and improve mobility, and by releasing joints that are not functioning as well as they could be.
Caroline also uses an acupuncture-based technique known as dry needling, in which acupuncture needles are placed into the body of the muscle to help alleviate tension in dysfunctional areas. This is not a painful procedure.
Her chiropractic story began in 2010 while living in Australia. After years of being very physically active and working closely with horses—often taking quite a few falls—she developed musculoskeletal pain that led her to seek chiropractic care.
After receiving treatment, the pain was gone. She realised she had understood very little about how her body worked and what triggered her pain, so through chiropractic care, she began learning how best to influence her body’s mechanics and keep them in good working order.
Caroline continues to get adjusted every four to six weeks to maintain good spinal health and body function—and her body appreciates the effort. She looks forward to meeting those who are ready to improve their current musculoskeletal health.
