He is a Consultant Urologist and Regional Specialty Professional Advisor (RSPA) for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has a special interest in prostate and stone disease.
Mr Sriprasad set up the Stone Centre which is a tertiary referral centre that provides care for patients with stone disease. The centre also has a clinical research programme where new procedures and techniques have been devised.
Mr Sriprisad is the clinical director for the Directorate of Urology and Nephrology and he was heavily involved in starting dialysis in Darent Valley Hospital. He is also the Chairman of the hospital research and development and advised NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) on technology in urology and surgical techniques and contributed to the NICE guidelines on the management of renal cysts.
Mr Sriprisad has a special interest in research and he has published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and he regularly presents research nationally and internationally. Mr Sriprisad is also the Associate Editor for The Journal of Clinical Urology.
He is also involved in medical education and is the Programme Director for the MCh in Surgery (Urology) at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Canterbury Christ Church University.
